Harwich Car Ferries
Harwich to Esbjerg, Denmark
DFDS Seaways make 3 to 4 weekly ferry crossings from Harwich to Esbjerg, situated on the west coast of Denmark. The crossing uses DFDS’s newest ferry, the m.s. Dana Sirena, built in 2003. The Harwich ferry can accomodate over 600 passengers and has a range of facilities onboard including 2 restaurants and a bar.
The introduction of the “Dana Sirena” on the Esbjerg service by DFDS has reduced the crossing time on this route by 2 hours. Foot passengers and motorists alike are able to relax in the comfort of this modern, luxurious ferry. During the busy summer period the number of sailings is increased to offer a departure every other day.
Esbjerg, Denmark’s 5th largest city, is a nice place to visit in its own right, and it is also a perfect gateway to the rest of Scandinavia. Copenhagen is 175 miles, Sweden 210 miles, Berlin 350 miles and Oslo 410 miles.
